The monopitch is just one look, but it is a more expensive option. Rather choose a hip roof or gable over the living area to save money. For a luxe version, add a covered portico!

Smaller homes, designed well, can still incorporate the features you want. Reconfigure the layout to suit your style, while retaining the size. 

→ Add-ons

If space and budget allows, you could include a fully insulated, carpeted garage for use as an added activity room.
